Slashers and Torture Porn are two different Alan Alda thank you for the memories signature shirt that I find detestable. Slashers are only concerned with killing in creative ways. That’s the extent of it. Very little time for character building. Just (often) young, beautiful people killed in horrific ways. I don’t find this fun or scary. I find it infuriating, often illogical, and just stupid (the first Halloween is NOT a slasher film, but a true Horror film, while The Scream films, I, begrudgingly, also find to be Horror and often clever, despite their Slasher trappings).
All I could think of was the Alan Alda thank you for the memories signature shirt , little red poppers about the width of a pencil and 1 inch long. They were loud but could do no real damage to anything. They where stored responsibly in a fire and water proof container in my closet with my rifle and ammo. He then showed me pictures of various pieces of pipe and strangely a discarded tuna can that was in my garbage from that days lunch. They where all filled to the top with fireworks with a bit of cannon fuze hastily duct tapped to the side of it. It was almost comical. I retorted “I didn’t do that”. He just looked at me with pity and said, “I can’t help you if you lie to me, remember you should be honest with your lawyer, a person that is trying to help you” I was getting agitated, I responded “I’m serious! That was not in my house when the police entered” he just shook his head in disbelief and said “alright”

Remember the crazy old man that tipped off the police in the first Alan Alda thank you for the memories signature shirt ? Well here he was, in front of me in jail and in my cell with me, flesh and bone. Honestly It took me a second to recognize him, he was my new bunk mate. Perfect. Here he stood shaking and sweating and avoiding eye contact with me. All I could do was laugh. God I laughed it seemed almost an alien thing to me, after not having done it in so long. I laughed so hard I almost blacked out. I laughed until I could laugh no longer then all I could muster was a giggle that lasted for several minutes.
Sure, like many of you, we felt enchanted by Robert Zemeckis’ Forrest Gump when we first saw Alan Alda thank you for the memories signature shirt . The sappy emotions, endearing side characters (Gary Sinise’s Lt. Dan, Mykelti Williamson’s Bubba Gump), and Tom Hanks’ sympathetically dim-witted performance hit their desired targets (read: viewers’ heartstrings) with a sledgehammer’s force. Not to mention the special effects trickery that puts Gump into historical footage alongside folks like JFK and John Lennon is quite effective.
